The Chongzuo-Pingxiang Intercity Railway is the third intercity high-speed railway independently funded and constructed by Guangxi Province. The main line is 81.12 kilometers long, with a bridge-to-tunnel ratio of 83.56%, and it is planned to extend to Vietnam in the future. The western end of the line connects to Vietnams Thang Dinh to Hanoi Railway via the Xianggui Line, and from Hanoi, it links to Vientiane-Mekong-Gelugao-Singapore. The eastern end of the line connects to the Nanning Hub via the Nan-Chong Railway, linking with the Nanning-Guangzhou, Liunan (Xianggui), Yunnan-Guangxi railways, and the under-construction Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway, forming a major transportation artery between China and the ASEAN Peninsula. The construction uses CPG500 long rail laying machine.
