The main components of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway include: 83.80 kilometers of bridges, accounting for 58.88%; 16.82 kilometers of tunnels, accounting for 11.82%; and 41.68 kilometers of subgrade, accounting for 29.3%. The railway is constructed using our companys CPG500 long rail laying machine. The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway runs through a tropical rainforest climate zone, which is characterized by numerous adverse geological conditions and special geotechnical issues, including earthquake zones, liquefaction layers, volcanoes, landslides, ground subsidence, active faults, soft soils, expansive soils, and volcanic deposits. These conditions significantly impact the construction of the railway. Notably, the volcanic deposit soil layer has extremely uneven lithology, cementation degree, and strength distribution. Its cohesive soil features a high porosity ratio, extremely high water content, a high liquid limit index, and high compressibility, resulting in unique physical and mechanical properties.
