The multi-functional, compact transport vehicle for substations (converter stations) is jointly developed by the UHV Construction Branch of State Grid Corporation, Hunan Provincial Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Co., Ltd., China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Zhuzhou Xuyang Mechanical and Electrical Technology Development Co., Ltd. This compact transport vehicle integrates multiple modules for loading, transportation, unloading, and lifting. It features a hydraulic track chassis, a compact overall structure, a small track span, a low center of gravity, and stable, reliable driving performance. It is suitable for loading and transporting in complex road environments such as mountainous and hilly areas, and is also ideal for multi-functional operations in confined and complex working environments like substations and converter stations.

The equipment has the following innovations:
　　1.Diversified functions, there are four modes of operation, namely loading and transportation mode, steel pipe grabbing mode, high altitude operation mode and lifting mode.
　　2.The modular design is adopted, and the high-altitude working platform module and steel pipe grab module are designed with unified interface, so that the working module can be switched easily.
　　3.The design of integrated boom makes the lateral space occupied by the vehicle is small, which is suitable for substation, converter station and other narrow and complex working environment.
　　4.The safety function is complete, including lifting torque protection, automatic leveling of the manned platform, collision warning, remote control failure protection and other safety functions.
